    Travellin' Man

Well I got home late last Tuesday
Thought she’d be pleased to see her man
    How was I to know
She had a gun in her hand...

Well it’s only been 10 days
I see there’s been a change of plan
Well you don't love me, no more baby
    That's why I’m a travellin’ man...

Well I guess you, don’t even
    Read the letters I send
That's why I gotta keep on drivin’
    Road is my friend…

    The Other Side

Trying so hard to get through
I've got a message, gotta get to you
If I get through maybe you'll see the light
Lay down your weapons & stop the fight...
Maybe it's time for us to move on
We've all been waiting far too long
It's happened so many times before
Isn't it time to close the door...
Does it really matter, it's only a name
Take a closer look, we're just the same
The other side of the side you're on
Is just as wide & just as long...
I'm just a simple man with a simple way
I think we better all just go fishing
To pass the time of day
Got me a gun, got me a knife
But I just wanna live my life..
Got me a gun, got me a knife
But I just wanna live my life...

    The Writer

A lonely writer takes his pen
    Remembers all he’s left behind
& now to him it seems so hard
    in his life

    ‘cos he’s free now ….again

& all the people he once knew
he wonders if they made it
‘cos those times were so cruel
    no one was saved

& so he writes to let them know
    so they will never forget
it’s life its-self that is the seed
    we all must sow
    .

    Your Love Bites

Love & confusion, is all I ever get from you
The way that you mix it up makes me wonder how
    were ever gonna get through
You were down 10 minutes ago, now you’re feelin’ alright
Makes me wonder what’s going on in you mind..

Hey wont you tell me, what you’re trying to prove
You keep on talking but you know it’s no use
I’d rather walk away than end up having a fight
‘cos I know… your love bites

Been over 2 months now and things are only getting worse
It’s like tryin’ na drive down the road with the car stuck in reverse
My friends tell me there’s no hope & there’s no use in tryin’
Makes me wonder what’s going on in your mind.

    Stories (of tomorrow)

People, places & worn out faces
Tell of the life that they’ve been in
Grey of the mind, hides inside
The joy that once lived within

What will they say about tomorrow
Just close your eyes and you
    can dream
    Another story of tomorrow
Those are the stories of today

Take a look into the future
    all your hopes and fears
will we learn to live together
    wipe away the tears.

What will they say about tomorrow
Just close your eyes and you
    can dream
    Another story of tomorrow
Those are the stories of today

  • Everything changes

Times may come & times may go
Never lost to my self I know
Love is there gonna keep it warm
    Holding you in my arms
    Not there, but never gone
Some things you gotta hold on
    ...Nothings wrong
    I'm just travelling on
    Is it really any wonder
    It’s not the same
    Everything changes, with time..
    Feels so right & I don’t care
Thinkin’ bout when you were there
    You know & I know
    We’ll never let it go
    Do you remember when
We were just kids back then
Taking time living day by day
    Everything was alright ,OK..
    Is it really any wonder
It’s not the same, no no..
    Everything changes, with time..
& on, & on, & on we go
Always there but in another place, I know..

Shakin’ & Quakin’

End of the night & I saw her outside
Looking in at me
She said I’m on my way home but
I need to use your phone
Can I use it please
Said you can use it any time
but to get you on the line
I need your number can you give it to me
Call me tomorrow, I’ve got something in store
I’m not fakin’ we’ll be shakin’ & a quakin’
Knocking on the floor
So step outside, come on &
 take a ride with me
So the very next day I
called her on the phone
Said so where’s it gonna be
She said you know that motel,
yes I know it very well
Call in on room 17
I’m not joking we’re gonna be smokin’
When your doing what you’re doing to me
So I met her at the place,
she had a grin on her face
She was really built to please
& I was no fool, all she promised was true
Straight up, no reason to tease
So I guess it just shows,
when it goes it just goes
& that’s alright with me

Red City Blues

The boy left home
He only knew that he had to go
So he said good-bye and set out for the city
He didn't know
What he would find, but he knew in time
He'd get used to life living in this big city
Well he couldn't find no place to stay
But he knew someday he'd make his way
& take it all away from this mean old city
As the rain poured down, he cried out loud
& the people walked bye said he's lost his mind
We don't need his kind in our beautiful city
He's going home
He's had too much, it's been too long
He's going home
So he'd hang around,
& sing his song with the friends he'd found
Then he fell in love with a girl from this city
& she said she'd stay,
But she couldn't wait for him to make his way
That's what they say, those folks from the city
He's going home
He's had too much, it's been too long
He's going home

    To The Sea

    Watching this world
From up here so small you seem
    Seasons have changed
& now the leaves fall from this tree
    You were my world
But things are never what they seem
From this mountain side, I stare out to the sea.
    Tired & cold
I lie here beneath the stars
    Just like the sky
You seem so close & yet so far
    Seasons must change
Is that what's written in our hearts
From this mountain side, I stare out to the sea.
Some times we have those problems
Can bring you to your knees
Lying here, stars fade into the morning.
    My angel smiles above me
    She whispers in the breeze
Now I can see, the grass is still green.
